System for the automatic calibration of thermal cameras

The basic idea behind the project is to develop a system for the automatic compensation of radiometric cameras using Mobotix technology. The final goal is to replace the human operator in compensation task, the project involves the deployment of IoT sensors to detect environmental temperature, brightness, humidity, wind speed, etc. The collected values are processed by a mathematical model which, based on environmental characteristics and using artificial intelligence, predicts the best compensation at that moment and send the value obtained to the camera for a real time calibration. The same software system can identify the position of the eyes, nose and mouth from the live images of the camera to move and fix the right measurement area exactly where it is needed, regardless of position of the device and of the scene, such as indoor or outdoor settlment.
